# ReplyNodes PDF to Markdown

GET and HEAD https://pdf.replynodes.com/ are documentation-only. POST https://pdf.replynodes.com/ converts one public PDF URL to Markdown. Allowed methods: GET, HEAD, POST.

No signup, key, or cookie is required. Send JSON with a public HTTP(S) URL:

Limits: source/download up to 10 MiB, up to 50 pages, 60 seconds per conversion, 20 conversions per IP per hour, at most 2 active conversions per IP, and a maximum encoded JSON response of 1 MiB.

Successful responses are cached for 24 hours by canonical URL. Cache hits still consume hourly quota but do not consume an active conversion slot. Cache keys are scoped to this route and use the normalized HTTP(S) URL without its fragment.

Unsafe/private URLs, unsafe redirects, non-PDF responses, oversized or over-page PDFs, timeouts, partial results, and successful responses whose encoded JSON exceeds 1 MiB are rejected. The response has type=document, mime_type=application/pdf, Markdown, and page-count metadata.
